Charles Smith Wines Jet City
Winemaker Charles Smith has built an impressive—and massive—urban winery: 32,000 square feet of space in a former Dr. Pepper bottling plant in Georgetown that boasts views of Mount Rainier and Boeing Field, as well as an intimate view of the winemaking process for his labels like K Vintners, Charles Smith Wines, and Wines of Substance. There are two tasting rooms open to the public, and Smith promises that on occasion there will be rock ‘n’ roll shows and dinners, too.
