Whats the point of this article? Can someone help me understand? If its just click bait, then its fine. If i'm supposed to take this article seriously, then the reviewer needs to show me proof that she's actually listened to this album otherwise "swish swish bish."
This is the first Katy Perry album I have enjoyed from beginning to end. There are "purpose-ful" tracks and there are also light-hearted tracks. The album is sleek and her vocals are great. There are heavy nods to 90's dance tracks and you can also hear the current trop-pop sound but overall she is definitely on-point with a solidly produced album.
Didn't she come out years ago admitting she lip synced everything and never wrote her own songs? Who cares about this throwaway music, you aren't going to listen to it a year from now.
If you stop looking to celebrities for personal validation, you will be disappointed much less.
Katy Perry is a person, but she is also a product when she is "on the clock."
Might as well get mad at your shampoo for not turning you into the model in the commercial, if you are going to be upset at Katy Perry not being "woke" enough.
Katy's new look makes her even more horrific to the eye than miley. The music is retread dance shit from the 80s. Saw her SNL spot: Spastic drag queens in 18th century ballroom attire? Really? Madonna wore out that fag hag schtick decades ago. This newly enlightened Katy just borrowed the least entertaining aspects of her peers and sang new lyrics over the music tracks of flashdance. This is progress?
