Yesterday, Morrissey tweeted:

I figured this was just some apropos personal tweeting—yesterday sucked—and I thought: "Huh, I wish I could just spend the day in bed like Morrissey can." But no, it was marketing. Specifically, it was the name of his new single, out today. Listen:

The chorus:

I recommend that you stop watching the news
Because the news contrives to frighten you
To make you feel small and alone
To make you feel that your mind isn't your own

In other possibly personal Morrissey news, he sings: "I am now laid." Well that's good.

His new album, Low in High School, comes out November 17.
