Real Piece of Work

Real Piece of Work explores the intersection of gender and law.

Kendall Turner is a reformed lawyer turned writer. Two of her proudest moments as a lawyer were when she won a unanimous victory from the U.S. Supreme Court on behalf of a young man being held in a for-profit prison in Texas and when she won a unanimous victory from the Eighth Circuit on behalf of an abortion clinic in Arkansas. She is also pretty proud of the time she helped a friend beat an unjust parking ticket in DC.

She previously clerked for Justice Stephen Breyer and then-Chief Judge Merrick Garland and helped litigate abortion cases in Arkansas, Alabama, Kentucky and other states.
