Watch Ghosts Dance Men to Death in Pacific Northwest Ballet's Giselle

These pointe shoes were made for dancing dishonest men to death, and that's just what principal dancer Elle Macy planned to do as Myrtha, Queen of the Wilis. Angela Sterling

This is unusually lucid writing, thank you Rich. More of this and less about cars, please.

Thanks for writing so entertainingly about dance, Rich!

"...about a young peasant woman who goes mad, dies, and then turns into a man-killing ghost after her crush lies to her about his identity."

WRONG. So wrong. You either do not understand this story, or they changed it.

The whole point is: Giselle AVOIDS becoming a Willi. Her act of love and forgiveness is heroic for two reasons: 1) she prevents the Willis from killing Albrecht; and 2) it allows her to return to her grave in peace, not as a Willi -- she rejects revenge.

This is not a trivial error.
