Massive layoffs at The Stranger have destroyed the paper’s journalism and readability, as this piece shows. You’re in a glass house, Chuck.

"Boeing's devotion to the ideology of the principle of shareholder-wealth-maximization is barely mentioned."

did the Time's
Gates ever mention
Boeing's Manager's De-
votion to high stock prices as well
which somehow fell into their Portfolios

my Favorite part
was when Boeing
tried to pawn all Re-
sponsibility off onto the
Brown Pilots: it Wasn’t US!

but Boeing Knew.
they
Knew.

when your paycheck
Demands you cannot
see the Truth you can
Play the Game or just

go Home.

ry near YOU

soulless as they
are they'e STILL
Peeps el friendo
or so says MkKk-
onnell's "Court"
of Final Retort.

give their Charter
a Death Sentence:

Nationalize Boeing.

While I do think keeping an eye on corporate misbehavior is always a worthy endeavor, the focus on such things in this review (and other evaluations of Boeing in this incident) tends to distract the public from:
1. specific poor technical decisions by Boeing and the airlines involved, and
2. mistaken assumptions about pilot training practices around the world,
3. mistaken assumptions about aircraft maintenance practices around the world.

The loss of these aircraft and these people were truly worst-case scenarios.
Everything that could go wrong, or be overlooked, did actually happen.
Many of that model of aircraft were flown successfully around the world during that period without incident.
One of the crashed aircraft, which had exhibited this misbehavior on a prior flight, had been brought under control by a pilot experienced in flying those aircraft.
Also, those people who choose to view these crashes mainly through the anti-corporate/anti-Gov. lens, remember to include the operators of the airline(s) involved, and the aviation agencies in the relevant nations.
