How are right to work laws anti-worker? If you don’t want to be part of the union you should not be forced into it.

3

@1, 95% of teachers voted to strike. That is not the maths of anti-union teachers. Teachers are miserable.

4

The lack of empathy from employers regarding benefits and wages is truly awe-inspiring.

How much of an asshole can you be to pay someone $15 or $20 per hour to live in Seattle?

The teachers have a really difficult job and should be fairly compensated, so this strike is truly understandable, although undesirable.

Everyone takes public school teachers for granted, but they have to develop a lesson plan, deal with special needs kids, perform crowd control, use a lot of their own resources for class supplies, and deal with angry and or negligent parents on an impromptu basis as well as grueling parent-teacher meetings.

And what about these dip-shit private employers who want you to work in a warehouse and get finger-diddled by misguided, perverted co-workers and drive a forklift for $17 per hour, and these ignorant sons-of bitches wonder why these jobs go unfulfilled.

What greedy anises are they.

Nice to see Kshama Sawant, whose worldliness, gift for public speaking and pro-worker political stance make her an excellent mayoral choice, out campaigning for worker rights alongside the striking workers.

Mayor Harrell, who recently got busted for dishing money to some African-American Elk’s Club, should follow Sawant’s lead, although he’s starting to look like an Oreo Cookie and should be replaced with Sawant in the next election.

Jeff Bezos is a socially regressive you-know-what (he contributes to The Stranger so discretion is required) and the Teamsters should park a convoy outside his house and light his lawn of fire.

Have you seen those Amazon ads where some poor bastard talks about how great it is to have medical insurance and eat and shit indoors because he works at the Amazon warehouse?

How patronizing toward workers can you get?

For some reason capitalists don’t think the laws of supply and demand apply to employees and wages. If you pay workers more, you’ll have less of a manpower problem and plenty of workers.

Corporate leasership may have to take a haircut on pay to fund this cost realignment, but they are all overpaid anyway, so the cause is just.

Hopefully Trump, the orange bowel movement, will get subpoenaed, sentenced, sent to prison and cornholed for stealing national security documents from the White House.
