I’m too socially anxious to complain in person, but the “VIP” section was kind of a shitshow. I sprung for the tickets which I think were twice as much as the regulars because I’m one of those weirdos who loves Bon Iver’s last two albums more than his first two. As a lazy, entitled millennial I do believe that being in a section labeled VIP entitled you to at least an unobstructed view of the fucking stage. Instead I watched from behind some trees like I was spying on the concert until the Skinny Love fairweatherers left near the end. (Side note: fuck Seattle Center’s hardline 11 pm noise shutdown which I think cost us one more BI song and cost us a Killers encore at DTHB one year). Fisher Pavilion is a trash venue for a concert and it’s made even worse by the fact that within a 50 mile radius there are probably 50 better options. Indoor or out. I Guess the drink tickets were nice? But you also could have just as easily rented Bleachers for the day so people can actually watch the show. If I was a short person I’d have lost my mind.
