So basically the activists solution here is for the county to release the inmates who are impacted and give the money to social services groups to provide support. That all sounds great in theory but of course they neglect to mention that releasing these inmates will potentially put the community at risk should any of them commit further crimes. Incarceration is never going to be a perfect situation but the good of the community needs to outweigh the ideal scenario for these inmates. Send them to Des Moines and/or invest in improvements to facilities in King County that can provide these services while at the same time protecting the safety of the community.

@1 Of course it is. They are not here to provide a solution, but to present more problems. Failing to legislate their agenda, they will resort to any means necessary to achieve their goals. No prosecution for crimes... the consequences of this poorly thought out agenda are all over the city and painfully apparent in the uptick, in crime, drugs and apathy...

If the Seattle jail is full... send them south.

If there are problems, then lawsuits are filed... and lets adjudicate the issues.

If we need to build more caring and bigger jails, raise the taxes and build more....
