I was a reader since the very beginning of The Stranger. Your column taught me a lot, and gave me a wider perspective on — among other things — what hot people got up to, and what they did in their privileged position. I watched you grow from a funny, snarky faggot, to a progressive, caring teacher, to a… what are you now? …a sex advice columnist with a strikingly large blind spot for matters of love and the heart? …a monogamy-denying sexual pragmatist?

On balance, I think you've served your community more than yourself, and so I wish you with deserved fondness a happy and prosperous retirement.
