The Washington Midsummer Renaissance Faire is VERY SORRY ABOUT THE TRAFFIC THIS WEEKEND. The parking sitch should be better this weekend. Byron Dazey

"He’s the most radical candidate in the country."

Dr. Oz is probably too thick to grasp it, but that's a selling point these days.

4

@actually per statista.com, women were more than half of the U S population in 2021 (51.1%).
Let’s hope all of those who can vote, do.

@6, they should rename it the Fucking Delicious. As a brand name, that really sits up and talks.

13

@12

There is no "content" to address in #2's post.

14

I Love Julia Jacklin. Her cover of Bill Fay's "Just To Be A Part" is one of the best things released this year. Her new songs sound great too.

16

@2: Yeah, well, you're a man, gay or otherwise, who will never experience a menstrual period, pregnancy, or breast lumps. STFU! I don't give a shit what it says in your "bible". Our bodies, our choice!

@3 STII: Hear, hear!

@4 patL: Amen. I'll certainly be doing my part. If RWNJs and MAGAts hate me, I'm pretty much doing my job.

17

Well, that's what people get for driving to the RenFaire. If they rode in on donkeys or oxcarts like they are supposed to, they wouldn't be stuck in traffic.

@18: You're not a conservative. A conservative would never say that the government has a claim to one's body. Indeed, the anti-abortion was never a germane cause of conservative thinking. A conservative, in light of limited government, believes in altruism and doing things to better society, and that would include getting vaccines and wearing a mask to protect others. Barry Goldwater was a true conservative. His views became more altruistic and magnanimous:

"Only in his final term did he adopt a pro-choice position, voting in 1983 against a constitutional amendment that would have reversed Roe v. Wade and returned legislative authority over abortion to the states. In 1984, he reversed his 1964 position by voting against a constitutional amendment to restore voluntary prayer to public schools. As late as 1985 he opposed "gay rights" legislation. Only in 1993, six years after leaving the Senate, did he change his view."

@18: "The claim to your body ends when another life inside you begins."

It will be interesting to see how you expect to enforce that on someone else. Here's a clue for you: You can't, and you won't.

21

I'm gay gay GAY GAAAAYYY!!! And I want to call a woman's right to govern her own body and healthcare choices "infanticide"! Because.....I'm a gay conservative and somehow now that gives me some entitlement to say dumb shit?

Dude, or GayDude - no one is buying your rebranding. We've read your crap before. Get a new schtick. "Triggered much?"

By the way - why shouldn't you repay your student loans? You knew you were taking a loan right? Do you think you shouldn't have to repay your credit card?
