I'm sure this is delightful, and kudos and great luck to you all,,,but trout for breakfast in the Northwest, and I think of mornings in the Methow valley, a line in the rushing ice cold waters of the Chewack river, and then, with some luck, some trout frying in the cast iron skillet next to some potatoes and a couple of over easys ,mmmmmm,,BUT, the toast looks delicious, shades of a NW "bagel" :)

Soooooo, I guess you have never had a traditional Jewish bagel? This toast is just a play on the authentic. Toasted bread? Check. Spreadable dairy? Check. Smoked fish? Check. Onions? Check. No capers though but maybe the pickled onions covered for the capers. It isn't exactly a revolutionary breakfast.
