Our first Resist/Recharge event with SOMOS.

Free Tuesday evening? Swing by St. John's Bar and Eatery on Capitol Hill for Resist/Recharge, The Stranger's series of talks with community leaders and nonprofits opposed to President Trump's agenda. We've chatted with SOMOS, Northwest Harvest, Greenpeace, 21 Progress, Langston and El Centro de la Raza.

This week, we're hosting Powerful Voices, a local nonprofit that provides programs and promotes social justice for young girls to thrive and engage in their communities.

Together, we'll talk about how the messages adults send to young girls and how we can avoid "perpetuating negative associations around girlhood." It's an issue that's more pressing now than ever.

Guest speakers will Cata Catibayan, Metasabia Rigby, Jordan Faralan, Kate Tibone, Kary Kwong-Lee, and Raina Enrique.

Don't miss it.
