No problem. I'll take a nice wedge salad with French dressing over romaine any day.

true story, the student teacher in my 7th grade... english(?) class was the Mariners bullpen catcher in the 1992 season, and his daughter was one of the first to get E Coli from the Jack In The Box at 85th and Aurora.

Also, the Seattle Times reported on this in April and June of this year: https://www.seattletimes.com/seattle-news/health/wa-state-health-officials-5-people-sick-from-romaine-lettuce-e-coli-outbreak/

Lastly, Stock Tip: If you ever see a large chain's stocks go down due to something like this, BUY BUY BUY. Jack In The Box isn't going anywhere, Chipotle isn't going anywhere. The stock prices take a big hit, then recover, because money is green.

I agree with Rich's recommendations on alternative lettuce to Romaine, except maybe the kale. I wholeheartedly agree about iceberg lettuce too. I'm surprised spinach did not make the list though.

I have a new found appreciation for romaine. It's good and good for you. I have two heads I gotta toss now. Lame yo.

I know y'all just love your hi-larious puns and innuendoes in the post titles, but maybe, just this once, it might be a bad idea to use a phrase that might be interpreted as "until you hear otherwise, the lettuce is safe if you mix your dressing with it and then eat it"
