It's a start. So many people need help. We also need to finally and FINALly address homelessness in this country and stop allowing people to be homeless. This crisis is either going to end it or put tens of thousands, if not tens of millions MORE people out on the streets.

This is the way to handle this. The housing crunch during the pandemic is everyone's responsibility, and it is appropriate for general tax $$ to pay people's bills. Not a futile and misguided rent strike, and not a decision that your landlord doesn't need the money because he's actually the little rich guy from Monopoly.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure if the choice is your rent or your dope, you're never gonna fix that problem.

@8- because King county taxpayers don't bail out the poor all the time with rental subsidies, free bus passes, reduced utilities, free meals for students, etc?
