Oh Boy!
A virtual reality where I can do anything and believe anything?
It sounds like QAnon!

5280, who used to post here on SLOG until his death in 2014, is still on my facebook friends list.

Every year on his birthday I see posts from others talking about missing him and such. Also every year is a post from the same person who just says "Happy Birthday." No idea if that guy even knows he died.

Social media is weird.

Meta means death in Hebrew. So, since Zuck was raised in a Jewish household, what exactly is this announcement supposed to actually mean?

4

@3: Oh dear! But it's definition and connotation of being an abstract, high-level analysis or superset is more widely known. But I'll enjoy your conspiracy theory for entertainment purposes.

5

@3 xina, from what I understand, that's not quite right, though it plays well on social media, and is still worth a chuckle.

Meta as pronounced in english, sounds like a hebrew word for death (feminine form).

The word "meta" translated into hebrew does not mean death, it means "meta".

Well, there is the Legacy option on Facebook. It allows others that you trust to post on your account in the event of your death.

The Irish Sports Page has been read by and to my family for generations. Keeping track of the dead is nothing new.
