Attention, renegades! A crafterâs paradise awaits at Hangar 30 in Magnuson Park this weekend, with dozens upon dozens of local makers exhibiting their wares: Potters! Weavers! Chandlers! Apothecaries! Jewelers! Woodworkers! Bakers! And so on, all selected by a small team of craft experts. There will be food trucks on-site, so plan to make a day of itâespecially since thereâs not much else within walking distance. (Get there on the 62 and 75 bus lines from either the Roosevelt or Northgate stations.) The hangar is technically indoors, but thereâs plenty of cross-ventilation when they open the doors; face coverings are required inside. Renegade Craft is part of a nationwide tour of craft events, with a similar fair happening the same day in Chicago. This winter, the fair heads to San Francisco, New York, Los Angeles, Austin, Brooklyn, and back to Seattle just in time for the holidays. Good thing, too, because youâll probably have used up all your candles, herb rubs, and tinctures by then.
Renegade Craft is this Saturday and Sunday from 11am to 5pm at Hangar 30, waaaaay over by Sand Point Park overlooking the lake.
